As part of the Independence Day celebrations of Vision Eye care Clinic, Mapusa in association with Mukta Opticians organized a Free SuperspecialityEye check – up camp for Senior Citizens on 15 August 2016,at all the Centers which Included Mapusa, Panjim, Redi, Vengurla, Sawantwadi.There was a very overwhelming response from all the centres, This camp has been held for the last 13 years by Vision Care & Mukta optician at Vision Eye care Clinic Mapusa and is now an annual feature at Vision Care. The annual camp is looked forward to by the senior citizens. The camp was inaugurated by Ms. Neeta Rajani , prominent businesswoman and Social worker. The introductory function was graced by distinguished personalities from various walks of life including Mr. Jaganath Manerkar, Prof. Ravi Fugeri, Mr. Ratnapal Salkar, Mr. Salim Isani, Mr. Virani, Mr. Prakash Pliankar, Mr Ratnapal Salkar and others.
Dr. Chandrakant Shetye thanked those present for the overwhelming support and encouragement that he has received from all in his endeavor to provide economical & quality health care at an affordable cost.
Prof. Ravi Fogueri compared the function and Mr Kishore Sarsolkar proposed the vote of thanks.
MsNeeta Rajani in her address to the gathering was appreciative of the service to the Senior Citizens by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, She also talked about the social work done by Vision towards the society for the eye care services provided and also appreciated the team of Vision Multispeciality Hospital, and Mukta Opticians. She highlighted that Vision Hospital has various modern medical facilities which are provided at affordable rates with high standard of quality maintained.
The free Eye check- ups were conducted by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye ,Dr. Abishek Bawdekar and Vision team. Over 300 senior citizens took the benefit of this camp across all the centres. Professional guidance was given to the patients regarding treatment & managements and Surgery for cataract and also on other eye related diseases for those patients diagnosed for having such problem.Patients Diagnosed with Cataract were offered discount on surgery. Free spectacles were distributed to the needy patients, kind courtesy of Mr. Kishore Sarsolkar proprietor of Mukta Opticians. Free medicines were also distributed to patients requiring the same.
