Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of a natural lens and insertion of an artificial lens known as an intraocular lens (IOL), thereby fully correcting the refractive error or reducing dependence on spectacles/contact lenses.

* Monofocal IOL
Short-sighted (Myopic refractive error), Long sighted (Hypermetropic refractive error) or Astigmatism is corrected.
* Multifocal IOL
Distance, near and/or intermediate distance correction is done.
