Cancer prevention:
The proverbial saying prevention is better than cure means that it is sensible to stop an illness from happening in the first place than to have to deal with awful problems, worse health issues or damages later.
Cervical cancer is 2nd most common cancer in women aged 15-44 years &can be prevented in 99% cases
Use three pronged strategy to prevent:

- Screen yourself by pap test every three years between ages 21-29 years to find abnormal cells which develop into cancer.Between ages 30-65 years choose either between pap test every three yearsor pap test with HPV testing every 5 years.
- Be on look out for early symptoms like changes in vaginal discharge or vaginal bleeding that is unusual for you that is after menopause, in between periods or after sex.
