The department of Urology offers a range of procedures to diagnose and offer treatment by our Urologist, for urological problems including disorders of the bladder, urethra, prostrate and ureter Procedures including endourology and laparoscopic urology are performed frequently by our consultant urologist.

Dr. Elphinston Fernandes

Specialty: Consultant Urologist

Qualifications: MS, DNB (Urology) Fellowship in Reconstructive Urology

Work Days: Monday to Friday - 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM

Dr. Elphiston Fernandes completed his Medical Training (4 ½ years + 1 year compulsory rotating internship) from Goa Medical College. He had a meritorious academic record passing all the exams in first attempt and was awarded distinction in Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.

He completed his junior residency in Surgery (Including trauma and Neurosurgery) from Sept 2002 to September 2006 and cleared his M.S general Surgery exams in first attempt in Nov 2005. Dr. Sarang Kanekar

Specialty: Consultant Urologist

Qualifications: MBBS, MS(Gen Surgery) DNB (Urology) Fellow in Endo-Urology and Uro-Oncology (New Zealand)

Work Days: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday - 3.30 PM to 5.00 PM

Dr Sarang Kanekar is a trained Urologist with special interests in Endo-Urology and Uro-Oncology.

After his MS General Surgery from Goa Medical College , he worked in Dept of Urology , GMC and was part of the team which performed the First Live Related Kidney Transplant in Goa.

He completed his DNB training from Apollo Hospital Chennai which is a JCI approved tertiary care hospital. He has vast experience in dealing with different Urological conditions and performs all latest Urological procedures.

He was awarded International Fellowship in Endo-Urology and Uro-Oncology from North Shore Hospital, New Zealand in the year 2018.
