Dr. Pawan Rane

Dr. Pawan Rane completed M.B.B.S. from Goa Medical College, Bambolim under Goa University, Goa 2006. He then did an Observership in Head Neck Oncology Services in Tata Memorial Hospital which was followed by Fellowship in Head Neck Oncology in Tata Memorial Hospital. Subsequently Dr. Rane completed a short observership in PD Hinduja Hospital under Dr. Milind Kirtane.

Dr. Rane received training in the prestigious Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital in the field of head neck oncology. He is adequately trained in the management of cancers of the head and neck and has been a part of more than 300 cancer surgeries. Competent in cancer surgeries like oral cavity composite resections, total laryngectomy, total and partial maxillectomy, superficial and total parotidectomy, selective modified and radical neck dissections, he independently performs reconstructive procedures like pectoralis major myocutaneous flap, pectoralis major myofascial flap, deltopectoral flap, and forehead flap, cervicodeltopectoral flap, Nasolabial flap, tongue and masseter flap. He has received training in operating cancers of the thyroid, and ear and is conversant with total and partial thyroidectomy, and lateral and subtotal temporal bone dissection.

He also performs various Otological procedures like Myringoplasty, Tympanoplasty, Mastoido-Tympanoplasties, Myringotomy and Grommet Insertion, Facial nerve decompression, foreign body removals.

He has assisted and performed nasal and sinus procedures like Septoplasty, Rhinoplasty, Caldwel-Luc’s procedure, Reduction of fracture of the Nasal Bones, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and removal of foreign body from nasal cavity.

He is conversant in laryngological and throat procedures like Adenotonsillectomy, Direct laryngoscopy, Microlaryngoscopy, Laser Excisions, fiber optic laryngoscopy, rigid oesopahagoscopy, rigid and fiber optic bronchoscopy. He has performed numerous paediatric and adult tracheostomies.
