Press release after superspeciality eye check – up camp for senior citizens 15th August 2015

As part of the Independence Day celebrations of Vision Multispeciality Hospital, Mapusa in association with Mukta Opticians organized a free superspeciality eye check – up camp for senior citizens on 15 August 2015. This camp has been held for the last twelve years by Vision Care & Mukta opticians and is now an annual feature at Vision Care. The annual camp is looked forward to by the senior citizens. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Deelip Salgaonkar, prominent businessman and Chairman of Geno Pharmaceuticals, Goa. The introductory function was graced by distinguished personalities from various walks of life including Mr. Jaganath Manerkar, Prof. Ravi Fugeri, Mr Ratnapal Salkar, Mr. Salim Isani, Mr. Virani, Mr. Prakash Pliankar, Mr Dhanraj Harmalkar and others. Dr. Chandrakant Shetye thanked those present for the overwhelming support and encouragement that he has received from all in his endeavour to provide economical & quality healthcare at an affordable cost.
Mr. Deelip Salgonakar in his address to the gathering was appreciative of the service to the Senior Citizens by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, the team of Vision Multispeciality Hospital, and Mukta Opticians. He highlighted that Vision Hospital has various modern medical facilities which are provided at affordable rates with high standard of quality maintained.
Prof. Ravi Fogueri compered the function and Dr. Bhagyashree Shetye proposed the vote of thanks.
The free eye check- ups were conducted by Dr. Chandrakant Shetye and team. Over 150 senior citizens took the benefit of this camp. Professional guidance was given to the patients regarding treatment & managements and Surgery for cataract and also on other eye related diseases for those patients diagnosed for having such problem. Free spectacles were distributed to the needy patients, kind courtesy of Mr. Kishore Sarsolkar proprietor of Mukta Opticians. Free medicines were also distributed to patients requiring the same.
